Aceh Besar and describe the factors that cause code mixing and code switching in the speech of students and teachers in teaching and learning activities at SMA Negeri 1 Ingin Jaya, Kab. Aceh Besar. This research belongs to the linguistic domain with a descriptive qualitative approach. The source of the data from this research is the teacher who teaches in class XI&nbsp; SMA Negeri 1 Ingin Jaya, Kab. Aceh Besar. The selected teacher is a teacher who masters two languages or more than two languages. The results of this study, based on the speeches of students and teachers in teaching and learning activities at SMA Negeri 1 Ingin Jaya, found 27 data in the form of code mixing and code switching. Data collection techniques are carried out by conducting tests and observations. The data analysis technique is done by knowing the level of classical completeness with a percentage score. Based on the research results in cycles I and II, data were obtained, namely the learning outcomes of students obtained in cycle I were the results of cycle I, the percentage of completeness was 71% (enough) and the results in cycle II, the percentage of completeness was 89% (very good). As well as the results of the first cycle of observing teacher activity got 87.5 (good) and the second cycle of observing teacher activity got 95 (very good). While the observation of student activity cycle I got a score of 76 (Enough) and in the second cycle the observation of student activity got a score of 90 (Very Good). TOEFL is test of English as foreign language, or a standardize in measuring the abilities in English skills (Listening, Structure and Reading). This research used samples method by using qualitative approach. In this study, the writer found the respondents who got higher TOEFL scores. Then, the writer asked each of the respondent about the strategy that made their scores higher in TOEFL test. This research used both interview and questionnaire instruments. The interview was 10 questions about the TOEFL learning strategies, and the respondents answered relate to their strategy used in learning TOEFL. In addition, the writer made a questionnaire instrument in the research aimed to find out the TOEFL learning strategies scales that respondents usually applied in learning TOEFL. Moreover, The interview and the questionnaire showed that the strategies that respondents used in learning TOEFL was a proper methods to apply in learning TOEFL. In this research, the dominant strategy relate to the theory respondents used, were the audiotory and visual methods, the respondents used those because the TOEFL is the language testing, so visual and audiotory were very influential in learning learning TOEFL. The research subject is tour guide in Gayo lues. Data collection techniques were interview and survey questionnaire. There were four tour guides interviewed by the researcher to obtain the data of tour guide difficulties factors in communication between tour guide and foreign tourist. In addition, there were 15 statements of questionnaire which aimed to identify the types of communication barriers between tour guide and foreign tourist. This research is conducted by using quantitative research in case of experiment research method. The design used in this research is pre-experiment; one group: pre-test – post-test. In this design, there is one class; pre-test is conducted before treatment and post-test is conducted after treatment.&nbsp; The population of this research&nbsp; is the tenth grade students of&nbsp; SMA negeri 1 Labuhan Haji in academic year 2022/2023. The total population is 175 students who are composed of six classes; class X IA<sup>1</sup>, class X IA<sup>2</sup>, class X IA3, class X IS<sup>1</sup>, class X IS<sup>2</sup>, and class XII IS<sup>3</sup>. Meanwhile, the sample&nbsp; of this research is the students of class X IA<sup>1</sup>which was taken purposively. The class X IA<sup>1</sup>consisted of 28 students. Thus, the total sample was 28 persons. In addition, the result of the research shows &nbsp;that the tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Labuhan&nbsp; Haji&nbsp; who are taught reading comprehension by using group discussion get better result than those who are taught without&nbsp; using group discussion. It is proved by It is proved by the result of N-Gain score calculation and the result calculation is 0.65.
