Abstract

This research aims to know the knowledge Metacognition of the students program of study learning style PGSD introvert-extrovert on solving math problems and manganalisis the difficulties students with style introvert-extrovert in solving math problems. The type of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative research. The subject is a student of the course learning style PGSD introvert-extrovert. This research uses the learning styles test introvert-extrovert, math problem solving task sheet, and the recording of the live interview. Research results show that the level of Metacognition of the students program of study PGSD STKIP Citra Bakti with learning style introvert are at categories reflective use, where the use of his thoughts both before and after or even during the ongoing process of considering the continuation and improvement of the results of his thoughts, so that students with learning styles is able to complete math problems correctly. While the level of Metacognition of the students program of study PGSD STKIP Citra Bakti with learning styles are extrovert category strategic use and aware use, where the use of his thoughts both before and after or even during a process lasting less considering the continuation and improvement of the results of his thinking, so there is some math problems that are not exactly the result calculation. Therefore, in considering the dosenperlu and associated activities of the learning styles of college students at the time of choosing the method or strategy and the ability of Metacognition is especially related to mathematical problem solving.
