Budaya organisasi mengacu pada sistem makna bersama yang dianut oleh anggota-anggotanya yang membedakan organisasi itu dengan organisasi lainnya. Budaya sekolah di lingkungan pendidikan dipengaruhi banyak oleh pimpinan adalah kepala sekolah. Keberadaan kepala sekolah dengan gaya perilaku dan modal kepemimpinannya juga dipengaruhi oleh budaya sekolah yang menjadi wewenang dan tanggung jawabnya. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan yang melibatkan arah atau instruksi dalam melakukan sesuatu dan delegasi memberikan dampak yang lebih besar terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan. Untuk membangun budaya organisasi di sekolah kebutuhan menempatkan regulasi, norma, adat berlaku, dan sebagainya.
