ANALISIS KESALAHAN MAHASISWA SEMESTER II DALAM MENULIS DESKRIPTIF TEKS

Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk menggambarkan kegiatan menulis mahamahasiswa semester dua di STKIP Bina Bangsa Getsempena. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu, untuk mendapatkan alasan mengapa mahamahasiswa kesulitan dalam menulis teks deskriptif dan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang dapat menimbulkan kesalahan dalam menulis teks deskriptif. Penelitian studi kasus ini dilakukan dengan memberikan seri gambar (picture series) serta menganalisis teks dan wawancara. Analisis dokumen dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan kertas menulis mahasiswa; itu diambil dari dosen yang mengajar mata kuliah writing. Seluruh data primer diklasifikasikan berdasarkan jenis kesalahan, dan kemudian mereka menjelaskan. Penulis juga menggunakan protokol wawancara untuk cross check data yang didapat dari analisis dokumen. Dari hasil analisis tulisan mahamahasiswa, maka kesalahan penulisan disebabkan oleh beberpa faktor, yaitu article mistakes, preposition mistakes, pronoun agreement, comma splices, and minor spelling mistakes.
