Getsempena English Education Journal strongly against any case of plagiarism. Therefore, all authors should ensure that the content of the manuscript is original. Every manuscript submitted into GEEJ will be Double Screening Processed by using TURNITIN software and AI-content check.
1. Plagiarism Check
a. The similarity percentage allowed in this journal for further process is not more than 25%.
b. A submitted manuscript that has a similarity percentage of more than 25% will be returned to the author for revision.
2. AI-Detection Tolerance
To maintain authorship integrity, the journal also performs AI-generated content screening using tools such as GPTZero, Quilbot, etc.
a. The acceptable AI content tolerance is 10–20%, with ≤ 15% recommended for safe submission.
b. AI tools may be used only for grammar improvement, language polishing, or paraphrasing, not for generating original ideas, data interpretation, or writing substantive portions of the manuscript.
c. Articles with AI-detection levels exceeding 30–40% may be subject to major revision or desk rejection, as they are considered to compromise originality and authorship integrity.
d. Authors are responsible for ensuring their manuscripts adhere to these standards before submission.
3. Ethical Compliance
Manuscripts found to violate plagiarism or AI-authorship policies will be rejected and may lead to blacklisting of the author(s) from future submissions. Authors are encouraged to maintain a human academic tone and disclose any AI tools used in the Acknowledgment section if applicable.
