Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi dampak integrasi teknologi dalam pembelajaran bahasa, dengan fokus pada peluang dan tantangan yang muncul. Penelitian ini menggabungkan metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif untuk mengumpulkan data dari pendidik dan peserta didik melalui survei, wawancara, dan diskusi kelompok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan teknologi seperti aplikasi seluler dan platform online meningkatkan keterlibatan dan literasi digital peserta didik. Namun, penelitian ini juga mengungkap adanya kesenjangan digital yang signifikan, yang disebabkan oleh infrastruktur yang tidak memadai dan kurangnya pelatihan profesional yang berkelanjutan untuk pendidik. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya investasi dalam infrastruktur teknologi dan pengembangan profesional untuk mendukung pengajaran bahasa yang efektif.
Abstract
The objective of this research is to explore the impact of technology integration in language education at Universitas Negeri Padang, focusing on the emerging opportunities and challenges. This study combines qualitative and quantitative methods to collect data from educators and learners through surveys, interviews, and group discussions. The results indicate that the use of technologies such as mobile apps and online platforms enhances student engagement and digital literacy. However, the study also reveals significant digital divides, caused by inadequate infrastructure and a lack of ongoing professional training for educators. The conclusion of this research emphasizes the importance of investing in technology infrastructure and professional development to support effective language teaching.
