Clean water is a basic human need that plays an important role in maintaining health, environmental cleanliness, and the smooth running of daily activities. The availability of clean water greatly affects the quality of life of the community because it is used for drinking, cooking, bathing, washing, and maintaining environmental sanitation. However, many people still experience limited access to clean water due to environmental pollution, low quality sanitation, damage to water sources, and a lack of public awareness of maintaining environmental and water source cleanliness. This condition gives rise to various health and social problems that have an impact on the declining quality of life of the community. This study aims to analyze the importance of clean water, determine the impact of limited clean water on the community, and identify the level of public awareness in maintaining clean water quality. The method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach through observation, interviews, and documentation of the community as research subjects. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that clean water has a significant impact on public health and the smooth running of daily activities. Limited access to clean water can cause health problems, increase community economic expenditure, and decrease the quality of environmental sanitation. In addition, the level of public awareness of maintaining environmental cleanliness is not evenly distributed, potentially causing water source pollution. Therefore, providing clean water and increasing public awareness of the importance of maintaining environmental quality must be a shared concern between the community and the government through environmental education, sanitation monitoring, and sustainable water resource management to ensure clean water quality is maintained for the community's lives now and in the future. Collaborative and sustainable efforts are essential to ensure the availability of safe and usable clean water at all times.
