Learning media for introducing geometry in early childhood has an influence on the implementation of the learning process and children's motivation in learning. Of course if the learning presented is less interesting then learning will become boring for children. This research tries to use learning media in the form of fruit satay in introducing geometric shapes to children of B1 group in Save The Kids Kindergarten (TK). The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the use of fruit satay in improving the ability to recognize the geometry of group B children in Tk Save The Kids Banda Aceh. This research uses quantitative research methods type of experimental research design one group pre-test post-test. The subjects in this study were children of B1 group TK Save The Kids Banda Aceh. Data collection is done by using tests of understanding geometry, observation and documentation. Data analysis technique was performed using one-party t test (right-side test) with a significant level α = 0.05 and db (number distribution) n-1 = 13. The results showed thiung = 1.85 with t table t (0 , 95) (13) = 1.77, obtained tcount> t table, ie 1.85> 1.77, thus the research hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. So it can be concluded that the fruit satay media is effectively used in learning the introduction of geometric shapes in B1 group children in Save The Kids Banda Aceh Kindergarten.
Abstrak
Media pembelajaran pengenalan geometri pada anak usia dini memberi pengaruh terhadap pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran serta motivasi anak dalam pembelajaran. Tentu saja jika pembelajaran yang disajikan kurang menarik maka pembelalajaran akan menjadi membosankan bagi anak. Penelitiani ini mencoba mengunakan media pembelajaran berupa media sate buah dalam mengenalkan bentuk-bentuk geometri pada anak kelompok B1 TK Save The Kids. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektifitas penggunaan sate buah dalam meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal geometri anak kelompok B di Tk Save The Kids Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif jenis penelitian eksperimen desain one group pre-test post-test. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah anak kelompok B1 TK Save The Kids Banda Aceh. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes pemahaman geometri, observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji t hitung satu pihak (uji pihak kanan) dengan taraf signifikan α = 0,05 dan db (distribusi bilangan ) n-1 = 13. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan thiung=1,85 dengan t tabel t(0,95)(13) =1,77, diperoleh thitung ttabel, yaitu 1,85 1,77, dengan demikian hipotesis penelitian (Ha) diterima. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa media sate buah efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran pengenalan bentuk-bentuk geometri pada anak kelompok B1 di TK Save The Kids Banda Aceh.
