This community service program aimed to improve educational quality through training teachers at SMP Subulussalam in developing assessment questions using Artificial Intelligence (AI). The program was motivated by the limited understanding among teachers regarding the use of AI technology to create varied, effective, and Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS)-oriented assessment instruments. The methods employed included needs analysis, program planning, training implementation, hands-on practice, mentoring, monitoring, and evaluation. The training provided materials on basic AI concepts, the use of AI platforms in education, prompt-writing techniques, and validation of AI-generated questions. The results indicated significant improvements in teachers’ knowledge and skills in utilizing AI for developing various types of learning assessment questions. Teachers were able to create more diverse questions aligned with learning objectives and complete the process more efficiently. The training also increased teachers’ confidence in using digital technology, thereby supporting educational innovation and enhancing the overall quality of education in schools.
