ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN PEMAHAMAN MATEMATIS SISWA SMP PADA MATERI SEGITIGA DAN SEGIEMPAT

This study aims to describe students' mathematical understanding ability, especially in understanding the triangle and quadrilateral material related to the ability of understanding. The subjects of the study were the students of class VII of 20 people. The method of this research is qualitative descriptive by analyzing the average answer of students from the given instrument. Instruments in this study form a written test of mathematical understanding ability with 5 pieces of problems and 2 indicators of mathematical understanding ability. The results of this study indicate that students' mathematical reasoning problems if averaged from the overall reach of 60 indicates that students have a medium or good mathematical understanding ability.
Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa, khususnya dalam memahami materi segitiga dan segiempat berkaitan dengan kemampuan pemahamanya. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII sebanyak 20 orang. Metode penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan menganalis jawaban rata-rata siswa dari instrumen yang diberikan. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini berbentuk tes tertulis kemampuan pemahaman matematis dengan 5 buah soal dan 2 indikator kemampuan pemahaman matematis. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa soal-soal pemahaman matematis siswa jika dirata-ratakan dari keseluruhan mencapai 60 menandakan bahwa siswa memiliki kemampuan pemahaman matematik sedang atau sudah baik.
