Penyakit degeneratif merupakan salah satu permasalahan kesehatan yang berkaitan erat dengan perubahan pola hidup, kurangnya aktivitas fisik, pola makan yang tidak sehat, serta rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat terhadap upaya pencegahan penyakit. Upaya promotif dan preventif melalui pemberdayaan masyarakat diperlukan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam menjaga kesehatan. Pendekatan edukasi kesehatan yang dipadukan dengan pengenalan terapi komplementer, seperti bekam dan pemanfaatan herbal tradisional secara tepat dan aman, dapat menjadi salah satu strategi dalam mendukung upaya peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pencegahan penyakit degeneratif.
