This research aims to develop a Problem Based Learning (PBL)-based arithmetic row and series learning tool to improve the critical thinking skills of high school class X students. The research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the Borg & Gall model which is simplified into three stages, namely preliminary study, product development, and implementation. The products developed are in the form of teaching modules and PBL-based Student Worksheets (LKPD). The research subjects amounted to 19 students in class X of SMA Negeri 15 Adidarma. Data was obtained through expert validation sheets and critical thinking skills tests in the form of pretest and posttest. The validation results showed that the learning tool obtained a percentage of 76.94% with the valid category. The results of the implementation showed that the average pretest score of 48.11 increased to 79.74 in the posttest. The N-Gain test result of 0.62 was included in the medium category. Thus, Problem Based Learning learning tools are declared valid and effective in improving students' critical thinking skills in arithmetic row and series material.
