PENGEMBANGAN LKS BERBASIS RICH TASK SEBAGAI UPAYA PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN KONEKSI DAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA SMP

Abstract

One of the disadvantages of students in learning mathematics is the lack of applied is Student Worksheet (LKS) in the learning process, so that the capability of connection and reflective thinking mathematically students is low especially in the materials the stats. This research aims to know the capacity of the connection and the mathematical thinking of students through the development of Rich Tasks Based on LKS material Statistics at Junior High School 8 Country of Banda Aceh. The approach used in this study is R & D in development is LKS by the type of research experiments. The population of the research was the whole grade VII Junior High School  8 Banda Aceh at 2016/2017 school year totalling 137 students. The sample is being Class VII-1 with a total of 20 people. Data collection is done with the initial tests (pre test) and tests of late (post test), the data is processed by using a t-Test. The results showed the ability of connection and reflective thinking mathematically students experiencing penigkatan after using the LKS Based Rich Task. Increased ability of connection and reflective thinking can be seen from the average value of the students at the time of pretest and postest. As for the average value of pre test connection capabilities of matemastis students is 54.5 and the average rating is 67.1 test post. While the average value of pre test of reflective thinking ability is 48.1 and the average value of the post test of reflective thinking ability is 60.8. This means that the ability of connection and reflective thinking math students increase after the implementation of LKS based rich task.

 

Abstrak

Salah satu kelemahan siswa dalam belajar matematika ialah kurangnya diterapkan LKS dalam proses pembelajaran, sehingga kemampuan koneksi dan berpikir reflektif matematis siswa rendah terutama pada materi statistik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan koneksi dan berpikir matematis siswa melalui pengembangan LKS Berbasis Rich Tasks pada materi Statistik di SMP Negeri 8 Banda Aceh. Pendekatan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah R & D dalam pengembangan LKS dengan jenis penelitian eksperimen. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP N 8 Banda Aceh pada tahun ajaran 2016/2017 yang berjumlah 137 siswa. Yang menjadi sampel adalah kelas VII-1 dengan jumlah 20 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes awal (pre test) dan tes akhir (post test), data tersebut diolah dengan menggunakan Uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kemampuan koneksi dan berpikir reflektif matematis siswa mengalami penigkatan setelah menggunakan LKS Berbasis Rich Task. Peningkatan kemampuan koneksi dan berpikir reflektif dapat dilihat dari nilai rata-rata siswa pada saat pretest dan postest. Adapun nilai rata-rata pre test kemampuan koneksi matemastis siswa adalah 54,5 dan nilai rata-rata post test adalah 67,1. Sedangkan nilai rata-rata pre test tentang kemampuan berpikir reflektif adalah 48,1 dan nilai rata-rata post test tentang kemampuan berpikir reflektif adalah 60,8. Artinya kemampuan koneksi dan berpikir reflektif matematika siswa meningkat setelah penerapan LKS berbasis rich task.
